Dimitrios Kostopoulos, PT, PhD, DSc is a leading authority in the area of Myofascial Pain and the co-founder of
Hands-On Physical Therapy in New York.
He earned his Doctorate (PhD) and Master's degrees at New York University and
his second Doctorate of Science (DSc) degree at Rocky Mountain University
(Clinical Electrophysiology).
Dr. Kostopoulos has extensive training and teaching experience in different
areas of manual therapy with emphasis in Trigger Point, MyoFascial, NeuroFascial
Therapy and Manipulation. He also specializes in Electroneuromyography Testing.
He is a past faculty member at Mercy College, a Diplomate of the American
Academy of Pain Management and an active member of the American Physical Therapy
Association.
Dr. Kostopoulos has taught students in the US, Europe and Africa and has
published numerous articles.
He is an Associate Editor for the Journal of Bodywork and Movement Therapies
published by Elsevier.
Dimitrios Kostopoulos and Konstantine Rizopoulos are the authors of the Book,

Konstantine Rizopoulos, PT, FABS
is a leading authority in Myofascial Pain and the co-founder of Hands-On Physical Therapy. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Athens, Greece. Mr. Rizopoulos has extensive experience in the area of manual therapy, particularly in MyoFascial and Trigger Point Therapies and their application to neurologic and pediatric populations.
Mr. Rizopoulos has completed extensive postgraduate studies in the area of Manual Physical Therapy. He is an active member of the APTA, Fellow member of the American Back Society and a member of the Hellenic Medical Society. He lectures frequently in conferences and continuing education courses through Hands-On Seminars.

Luke Bongiorno, PT, MCMT is a Physical Therapist specializing in Manual Therapy and a Certified Instructor for Hands On Seminars. Luke received his Physical Therapy degree from the University of Melbourne in Australia. He specializes in manual therapy and the treatment of musculoskeletal injuries. Luke has a special interest in the treatment of tennis players and runners, and is involved in both sports as well. He has been a speaker at the American College of Sports Medicine and is a clinical educator for Columbia University and the College of Staten Island Physical Therapy programs.
Luke has had training in advanced manual skills, trigger point and myofascial therapy, spinal stabilization, McKenzie Institute mechanical diagnosis and therapy, McConnnell patellofemoral and shoulder treatment, and advanced taping techniques. He has received the Mastery Certification in Manual Therapy and is also certified as a personal trainer from the International Sports and Fitness Training Association (ISFTA). Luke is a part of the medical team for the New York Road
Runner's Club, including the NYC Marathon.

 Richard Finn, PTS, CA, CMTPT, CMT, CAAAPM, MCMT
Richard is a graduate of the Academy of Myotherapy and Physical Fitness. He is Board Certified from the National Association of Myofascial Trigger Point Therapists, and served as president from 1992-94.
He is the Director of Pittsburgh School of Pain Management and serves on the Board of Advisors of the Fibromyalgia Research Foundation, and on the Executive Committee of the National Association of Myofascial Trigger Point Therapists.
 Joy Davala, MPT, MCMT
Is a clinical director for Southern Delaware Sports Care & Rehabilitation, concentrating in orthopedics.
She has worked with people of all ages including athletes ranging from club to professional.
She has experience with aquatic, chronic pain and spinal dysfunctions. She is a graduate of the University of Maryland Eastern Shore and has received her MCMT.
Joy is also a clinical instructor for PT and PTA students.
Christopher Johnson, MPT, MCMT
Graduate of the University of Delaware Physical Therapy Program. Currently works at the Nicholas Institute of Sports Medicine and Athletic Trauma (NISMAT) of Lenox Hill Hospital as a senior physical therapist and researcher. Also performs adjunct clinical instruction in the Doctorate of Physical Therapy Program at New York University.
Trained in fine wire electromyography (EMG), which he uses for developing and validating therapeutic exercises and rehabilitation programs. Majority of clinical time is spent rehabilitating patients following complex surgical procedures. Expertise lies in balancing tissues of the body and resolving movement impairments to promote optimal pain free function.
 Janelle Allen, MS, PT, MCMT
Janelle is a 1999 graduate of D'Youville College in Buffalo, NY where she recieved her Master's Degree in the school of Health Sciences in Physical Therapy.
She is currently a Physical Therapist for a private orthopedic clinic that specializes in manual therapy.
She is a certified manual therapist. She has been a clinical instructor for her clinic.
She has been an adjunct professor for the Biology department for Monroe Community College.
Kevin Okamura, PT, MCMT
Kevin Okamura is a Certified Instructor for Hands On Seminars and a physical therapist for a private practice clinic in Edmonton, Canada. He is also licensed to practice physical therapy in New York State and Western Australia. Kevin received his Physical Therapy degree and Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Alberta in Canada.
Kevin has an avid interest in all areas of orthopaedics and the treatment of sports injuries, especially soccer and volleyball, and has acted as a team trainer for a number of amateur teams, in addition to continuing to play both sports.
Kevin has had extensive training in manual therapy in Canada and the United States, including myofascial release techniques, spinal manipulation and stabilization training. He is a member of the Spinal Manipulation Roster of the College of Physical Therapists of Alberta and has been a clinical instructor for senior level physical therapy students as well as other therapists.
 Ben Gold, PT, MCMT
Ben originally from Melbourne, Australia, studied at the University of Melbourne. He has both a Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Hons), and brings a wealth of knowledge with him from abroad.
His main areas of interest include: Cervicogenic headache, Patellofemoral pain, Lower back pain, Neck pain and Industrial physical therapy services. He prides himself on not only giving the best evidence-based treatment, but also educating patients as to why their injury occurred in the first place, and preventing it from occurring again. When not working, Ben enjoys Skiing and Golf.

Fredric (Rick) Schwartz, PT, MBA, MCMT
Rick is the owner & president of Old Brookville Physical Therapy & Sports Rehabilitation, P.C. the office is preparing for its 25th anniversary Feb. 2010. Rick has a BS in Physical Therapy from SUNY at Buffalo & graduated in 1972. He has an MBA in hospital & healthcare administration from Adelphi University. Over his 37 year career as a PT Rick has had varied work experiences including NYU Rusk Institute, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, nursing homes, home care, New York Institute of Technology/ New York College of Osteopathic Medicine sports medicine clinic, & a certified instructor with Hands on Seminars.
Rick has taken numerous manual therapy classes including some of those offered by Stanley Paris, Mulligan, McConnell taping courses, Barnes, Welfish-Giamateo, Grodin, & was able to audit some osteopathic classes. Rick treats patients from ages 4 to >100 in his practice and pulls from his diverse education to meet their needs. He likes to share his experiences and "pearls of wisdom" with his Hands on Seminar Courses. His philosophy is that you need to keep learning when you think you know it all it is time to retire.

Jeff Walter, PT, DPT, NCS
Jeff practices vestibular and balance rehabilitation at Geisinger Medical Center in a variety of settings including: outpatient rehabilitation, emergency department, acute care, and inpatient rehabilitation. He is an associate faculty member at Misericordia University, Department of Physical Therapy. Jeff is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin and has attained competency certification in “Vestibular Rehabilitation” and “Vestibular Function Test Interpretation”. Since 1999, Jeff has lectured at numerous professional conferences, universities and continuing education courses for audiologists, physicians and therapists involved in managing patients with dizziness and imbalance. Jeff has developed a teaching website www.vestibularseminars.com designed to provide information to assist clinicians in the management of dizziness and imbalance. Jeff is an associate faculty for Hands-On Seminars and teaches our Vestibular Rehabilitation Elective.

Lambros Georgallas, PT, DPT
Lambros Georgallas, PT, DPT, earned the degree Doctor of Physical Therapy at Stony Brook University and completed one of his major affiliations with Hands-On. Lambros treats all Orthopedic Conditions and Sport Injuries affecting the general and athletic population with a specialty in Orthopedic Post-Operative Surgery Rehabilitation. He has most recently become Clinical Faculty for Hands-On Seminars.
Mr. Georgallas is skilled in Proprioceptive Training and Mobilization of the Spine, Shoulder, Hip/Pelvis, Knee, and Foot/Ankle. Lambros has extensive experience with Trigger Point Therapy, Myofascial Release, Muscle Energy, and Strain Counter Strain Techniques. Mr. Georgallas' philosophy is to not add years to his patients' lives, but to add LIFE to his patients' years. A patient in his care will not seek a therapist just for treatment, but will learn with guidance how to successfully take care of his/her own body. Mr. Georgallas strives to deliver the best to every patient every day. The patient is the first priority in everything he does.
